There's Frost On The Moon

Joe Young & Fred E. Ahlert

My grandfather had a Victrola in his house and when he passed away, my older brother inherited it. We loved listening to our grandfathers' old records. Though I never heard this song growing up, I instantly fell in love with it and it just seemed like it needed that old Victrola sound. So, we decided to give it a scratchy, hollow recording sound for the verse, then go into a more modern, rich & full sound for the rest of the tune. This song is so cheerful, that it just makes me want to dance!

The tune was first published in 1936 by Joe Young (words) and Fred E. Ahlert (music). Together, the team also wrote "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself A Letter".
